| Bob Boreman is a gifted, multi talented artist, designer and technician. He began his art career with Raymond Lowey & Associates as an exhibit designer for the 1964 New York World's Fair. Using his skills as a designer, illustrator, model builder and construction administrator he held several key positions as Art Director and Production Coordinator for various architectural and design firms. He was one of America's foremost monoprint artists in the 1970's. Each of his one-of-a-kind prints was hand made on an etching plate and printed with the finest quality of oil etching inks on French rag paper. After printing, Boreman hand works the surface of each print with mixed media, pastels and watercolors. With his works on wood ,he paints vigorously building up layers of paint to create the intricate detail and perfect juxtaposition of colors. Boreman grew up surrounded by a family of artists, supportive of his talents. He graduated from the University of Iowa, Fine Arts Department and received a Bachelor of Professional Arts from Art Center College of Design, Los Angeles. His work hangs in both private and corporate collections internationally. |
