| "I have always enjoyed drawing and painting but now I find myself leaning toward printmaking, particularly monoprints. Sometimes I work over the original with watercolor and collage, sometimes not. I enjoy the immediacy of the image and the way the etching ink feels as I apply it to the surface. My monoprints are mainly abstract landscapes created from photos and memory." Every image Patti O'Neill creates is energy in movement. The movement is always contained or grounded with a calmness whether it's in the background of her composition or part of the entire canvas. She is constantly working on new techniques, idea or finding new ways to reinvent her style. Patti O'Neill graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Art from USC. |
